Leadership & Legal Status
REST-Africa is governed by a diverse and experienced Board of Directors that provides strategic oversight, policy guidance, and fiduciary accountability. The Board ensures that the organization remains true to its mission and adheres to the highest standards of transparency and ethics.
The Executive Management Team, led by the Executive Director, oversees day-to-day operations, program implementation, and resource mobilization. This multidisciplinary team brings together professionals from fields such as agriculture, public health, education, environment, and finance — united by a shared passion for community transformation.
We are also supported by a growing network of community volunteers, youth fellows, and
graduate trainees who contribute to field programs and capacity-building initiatives across Uganda.

Legal Status and Accountability
REST-Africa is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization registered in Uganda as a Company Limited by Guarantee (without share capital) under the Companies Act, 2012. The organization is currently in the process of securing national NGO status to expand its legal mandate for community-based implementation and partnership engagement.
We uphold the highest standards of good governance, transparency, and financial accountability. Our operations follow a Results-Based Management (RBM) framework supported by a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system that tracks performance, ensures community feedback, and measures real impact on the ground.
